Auntie and Me Natural Beauty Products

Annabell's energy and zest for life are contagious. Just by looking at her, you would never know that she is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor. As it does to so many, cancer robbed Annabelle of her breast, her uterus, and it contributed to the collapse of her marriage. However, cancer did not steal her joy or her sense of purpose and because of her experience, she has developed an even stronger passion for life and a stronger drive to pursue her dreams than she ever had before her diagnosis.

Annabell has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. She was essentially born and raised in her aunt's salon where her mother was a hair stylist. Some of Annabell's earliest childhood memories include the salon experience. Starting at the age of 12, Annabell worked for her mother and aunt after school. At 19 Annabell opened Bella's Tanning and Day Spa. Wanting to focus on a healthier alternative to traditional tanning, Annabell sold her first business to focus on her second which went by the name, Liquid Sunshine-Airbrush Tan.

Annabell's cancer diagnosis came in 2008. She was told by her oncologist that her disease started in her axillary area and was likely caused by her antiperspirant. This information lit a fire in Annabell's soul. She was determined to develop a natural alternative to mainstream deodorants and antiperspirants to give women and choice and perhaps a way to avoid the diagnosis she had been given.

Annabell had found her purpose, she moved forward with her idea with strength and determination. Annabell spent 2 years in bed enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy as well as a hysterectomy and a double mastectomy. She used that time to focus on her research. Even when she was in so much pain, she could not open her eyes, she would have others read to her. As her body healed, Annabell started to experiment with the deodorant recipe. She gave batches and batches away to friends and family who provided feedback which allowed her to tweak and change her formula towards perfection.

Although it was the deodorant that launched Annabell's current company "Auntie & Me Beauty" she now offers a full line of product including, essential oil rollers, bug spray, aromatherapy room sprays, custom perfumes, bath salts, facial toners, coffee face masks, eyelash, and brow serum, and essential oil rollers.

The message that Annabell wants you to hear is that Natural Works Better. Her passion for what she does is driven by her desire to educate others about the benefits of using natural health and beauty products and the potential harm of using products made with synthetic chemicals which can contribute to the toxic load in our bodies.

Annabell's products can currently be purchased locally at four San Diego County Farmer's Market, an can also be found at Bijou Rocks in Solana Beach. Orders can also be placed online at auntieandmebeauty.com
